This position is within the research program TLC (Trust, leadership and cooperation), which adopts a strong interdisciplinary and international orientation to research, theory, and methods. It focuses on the psychological, evolutionary, and neuroscientific mechanisms of trust, leadership and cooperation among individuals and groups,
The candidate is expected to (a) develop a strong, innovating program of research; (b) acquire external grant funding to support their research, (c) conduct excellent teaching, (d) show departmental citizenship and (e) engage in valorisation. The candidate contributes to major parts of the Section’s teaching programs, and supervises Bachelor’s, Master’s and, where possible, PhD students.
• Completed PhD-thesis on a topic relevant to social and/or organizational psychology;
• Fit with research program TLC;
• Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed academic journals;
• Demonstrated ability to acquire external research funding;
• Teaching experience (as evidenced by excellent teaching evaluations);
• Flexibility in teaching a range of different—mainly organizational psychology—courses in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs;
The appointment will be full-time (1.0 fte) for a period of 5 years, starting (latest) from September 1st 2017. VU is strongly committed to diversity and especially welcomes applications from candidates of underrepresented groups.
