Michael Frank studies the neural mechanisms of reward learning, cognitive control and working memory within fronot-basal ganglia frameworks. He has a strong computational modeling approach where theoretical predictions are tested using using various neuropsychological, pharmacological, genetic, and imaging (primarily EEG) techniques.
