After obtaining my BSc at Zhejiang normal university, I completed a master program at the Cognitive Neuropsychology at the Vrije Universiteit. During my master program, I first worked with Prof. Jan Theeuwes and focused on the role of working memory in retrieving long-term memory. Later, supervised by Prof. Chris Olivers, I started to investigate how we use working memory to search multiple items.

Under the supervision of Prof. Freek van Ede, I am currently interested in how the format of objects in working memory are modulated by their purposes, as well as how the modulated representation interacts with other task-relevant information (e.g. current environment, body movement, new perceptual information) to serve the upcoming task. I mainly use EEG, eye tracker, and possibly VR to understand these questions. In my spare time, although my main interest is to create a simple ‘J.A.R.V.I.S.’ on my laptop (almost fail), I has found many other fun things to do: fitness, cooking, learning to draw, and recently, strategy board games.
