Project: I am working on the VICI "PERISCOPE" program. Under the supervision of Chris Olivers and Johannes Fahrenfort, I am investigating the nature of top-down templates for peripheral vision. Bio: After studying psychology at Leiden University, I completed a joint Master's degree prgramme (cum laude) in Cognitive Science at Osnabrueck University (Germany) and Trento University (Italy). For my MSC thesis I conducted an MEG study about the functional specialization and attentional weighting in the human face processing network under the supervision of Daniel Baldauf. Research interest: My general research interest is about the mind/brain relationship. More specifically, I am interested in how visual information is processed and represented in the brain, and how this is influenced by various, internal, top-down processes such as expectations and behavioral goals. In this context, I am currently investigating the nature of neural representations for peripheral vision.
