Jian ShiPhD student
I obtained my Bachelor in Human Resource Management and Research Master in Organizational Behavior & Human Resource Management at Huazhong University of Science & Technology during which I worked on research topics on motivation, self-regulation, and leadership.
My doctoral project at Amsterdam Leadership Lab is under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mark van Vugt and Dr. Alexandra Cook. I theoretically and empirically focus on the future of leadership (i.e., remote leadership) and its effectiveness, particularly with an evolutionary psychology perspective. Moreover, I grow the methodology interests in temporal dynamics of leadership, explore multiple levels of analysis within organizations, and utilize diverse methodologies such as field survey, field and laboratory experiment.
