I am currently working on the ORA -project “Rapid visual stability for action” together with Dr. Artem Belopolsky.

I was born and raised in a small town in Norway. When I finished school I started to study psychology in the Netherlands. After receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Utrecht I decided that I wanted to pursue a research career and enrolled in the research master neuroscience and cognition in Utrecht. During this master program I did resting state fMRI research on military veteran with PTSD at the department for Military Mental Healthcare in Utrecht. I also did EEG research on perceptual integration with and without conscious awareness together with Dr. Johannes Fahrenfort. During and after the master program I also started working as a teaching and research assistant at the department of experimental psychology in Utrecht and as a EEG research assistant for the department of cognitive psychology at the Vu. I recently started on my PhD at the Vu with my supervisor Dr. Artem Belopolsky.

Research interest

My PhD project is focused on how the motor system influences the rapid updating of visual perception during eye movements. I am using both eye tracking, EEG and a combination of the two to investigate the rapid updating of visual perception.
